Variety is now confirming the rumors from a few weeks back that “Django Unchained” star, Christoph Waltz, was circling “Horrible Bosses 2.” According to the trade, Waltz has now officially signed onto the picture. Waltz will play the father of Chris Pine’s character- who I reported last week steals a very lucrative idea from one of the main characters. This father-son duo will be the villains that Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudeikis attempt to take down in the sequel to the $210 million grossing first film.
While Pine’s casting was announced last week, it took a little longer to secure Waltz’s services because of the Academy Award Winner’s schedule. He is said to also be in talks for the villain role in the WB’s upcoming “Tarzan” film. Variety also reports that supporting players, Kevin Spacey, Jamie Foxx, and Jennifer Aniston, are set to return for this sequel.
New Line will release “Horrible Bosses 2” on November 28, 2014.
