Fusible, which specializes in keeping track of domain names, has reported that Warner Bros. has been quietly buying up several domains that could reveal the title of the forthcoming Man of Steel sequel. While many fans have been clamoring for the film to be called World’s Finest, or something similar, the working title that’s been used over and over again so far by the folks running the production is Batman vs Superman.
If these domains are anything to go by, it looks like the folks hoping for World’s Finest are out of luck. Here’s a look at a few of the titles listed in the massive group of domains Warner Bros purchased:
“Man of Steel Battle the Knightâ€
“Man of Steel Beyond Darknessâ€
“Man of Steel Black of Knightâ€
“Man of Steel Darkness Fallsâ€
“Man of Steel Knight Fallsâ€
“Man of Steel Shadow of the Nightâ€
“Man of Steel The Blackest Hourâ€
“Man of Steel The Darkness Withinâ€
It should also be noted that shortened versions were also bought up, like “The Blackest Hour,” and “Black of Knight,” for example.
For now, what these names could mean is all speculation, as the WB has not commented on this matter at all. Also, none of the URLs lead to a site just yet. We’re likely going to have to wait a few months for an official announcement.
In the mean time, what do you think? If you had to choose from options like these, which would you be most satisfied with?
