Deadline is reporting that Warner Bros is working on “Pan,” a fresh take on the classic Peter Pan story. Written by Jason Fuchs (Ice Age: Continental Drift), the story will center on an orphan that’s taken to a magical world, who becomes a hero as he saves the natives and helps them defeat Captain Hook and his band of pirates.
The studio is said to be negotiating with director Joe Wright, who has recently become known for period dramas like “Anna Karenina,” “Atonement,” and “Pride & Prejudice.” No release date has been set yet for this latest incarnation of the J.M. Barrie classic, nor are any actors attached.
Who would you cast as Peter, Wendy, and Captain Hook if you were introducing the characters to a new generation?
