According to Comic Book Movie, British actor Matthew Goode has recently spoken with the producers of Batman vs Superman about coming onboard. While no one knows what role this conversation centered on, this is all ready the fourth time he’s been linked to director Zack Snyder’s DC films. Goode played Ozymandias in Snyder’s Watchmen, and then two separate times has been said to be in the running for roles in the Man of Steel franchise.
Snyder was said to have been interested in the actor playing Superman, a role which later went to Henry Cavill. Then, later on, his name popped up again as a possibility for Batman. Some other guy got that role, too. Perhaps third time will be the charm for Goode?
Batman vs Superman is currently in production, so we can expect lots of these kinds of rumblings in the near future. Especially if they’re going to be filming two geek properties back-to-back.
There isn’t much more to this apparent Batman vs Superman scoop by CBM, so there’s not much to go on here. If this conversation happened, there’s no telling where it went or what it was about, so all we can do is…speculate.
I don’t have my Speculation Pants on today, so I’ll leave it up to you guys. Do you think there’s anything to this? Do you care? Who do you think he might be playing? Think Snyder might put him into another muscle suit that showcases his pencil neck again? Talk amongst yourselves.
