CinemaCon 2014: Extended Footages Shown for ‘Tranformers: Age of Extinction’

transformers4-ageofReady for a bigger and better “Transformers” movie?

Mark Wahlberg thinks so.

Wahlberg, along with actors Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz, were on stage at the Paramount Pictures’ opening night presentation at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. Latino-Review was in attendance.

“I was lucky for Michael Bay to ask me to be involved with ‘Transformers,’” he remarked to the CinemaCon audience. “In which, I had to jump on the opportunity, because it had to feel like it’s the most iconic franchise in movie history.”

He continued, “Michael promised me that weget to do our own thing and to be very different and a standalone movie. And it’s absolutely is. Not because I’m in it, but it’s bigger and better than the other three—combined. I can promise you that.”

Reynor, Peltz and Walhberg’s ten-year-old daughter Ella Rae Wahlberg, joined him on stage for plenty of extended footages.

Some of the footages shown at CinemaCon included:

*Optimus Prime being towed on to a farm to be taken apart for scrap metal.

*Family conversations between Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) and daughter Tessa Yeager (Nicola Peltz). It shows that Carl is very overprotective of his daughter. And Tessa believes her father can’t take care of himself due to the lack of money.

*Human villains to be revealed as Harold Attinger (Kelsey Grammer) and Savoy (Titus Welliver) of the federal government taskforce to hunt down the remaining Transformers. Harold works from a command center and Savoy is a tough agent on the ground.

*Shane saving the Yeagers from the federal agents in a sports vehicle. And he is revealed to be the boyfriend to Tessa Yeager.

*First look of Galvatron fighting Optimus Prime out in the countryside until a mysterious Transformer, who can transform into a large cannon, attacks them.

*Mysterious space ship takes Optimus Prime and Tessa Yeager away. Cade Yeager fails to save them.

*Lots of more scenes of Transformers fighting in the air and on the ground. There were better look of Bumblebee, Crosshairs, Stinger, Lockdown, and Grimlock.

*There is one hilarious footage of Yeager crashing a space ship into a guy’s vehicle. The guy exits the vehicle and exclaimed, “You better have insurance.” Yeager responds back that it’s a space ship. He then grabs a metal Bud Light bottle, use his car door to open the bottle and proceeds to drink. And then he asks for his alien gun as the guy has a really surprised look on his face.

“Transformers: Age of Extinction” will be in theaters on June 27 later this year.
