‘28 Years Later: The Bone Temple’ Arrives On Digital, 4K UHD Steelbook And Blu-ray In April

The nightmare continues.

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, the next chapter in the brutal post-apocalyptic saga first imagined by Danny Boyle and Alex Garland, arrives on Digital February 17, followed by a physical release on 4K UHD Steelbook, Blu-ray, and DVD April 21.

Directed by Nia DaCosta, The Bone Temple expands the world introduced in 28 Years Later, but flips its moral compass in chilling fashion. While the infected remain a deadly force, this new installment suggests something far more terrifying may be emerging: the survivors themselves.

A Dark Evolution of the Apocalypse

In The Bone Temple, Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) finds himself entangled in a shocking new relationship — one with consequences that could reshape the fragile remains of civilization. Meanwhile, Spike (Alfie Williams) crosses paths with Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell), triggering a chain of events that spirals into an inescapable nightmare.

As society fractures further, the film leans into a haunting truth: in this world, the infected may no longer be the greatest threat. The inhumanity of those left behind proves stranger, and potentially more horrifying, than the rage virus itself.

The film is written by Garland and produced by Andrew MacDonald, Peter Rice, Bernard Bellew, Boyle, and Garland, with Cillian Murphy serving as executive producer. The cast also includes Erin Kellyman and Chi Lewis-Parry.
