5 Things To Expect To See At Star Wars Celebration 2022

Star Wars Celebration Showcase Details Revealed

Star Wars Celebration has become one of the most anticipated events this year.  With the pandemic moving slowly behind us, fans are ready to get back together and celebrate everything Star Wars.  After a delay of over two years, we are only two months away from the biggest celebration of Star Wars fandom.  The convention is scheduled for May 26th through the 29th at the Anaheim Convention Center. With four days of panels, presentations, exclusive merchandise, and giveaways there will be plenty to talk about during the celebration.

While most attendees will be happy with whatever is presented over the four-day event.  Below are 5 things we are expecting to see at the convention.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Panel With McGregor and Christensen

First Official Obi-Wan Kenobi Images Hit - Could The Trailer Be Next?

With the premiere of Kenobi the day before Star Wars Celebration kicks off it would make sense for the convention to hold some sort of special event for the long-awaited series.  From what we have heard there will be a special screening of the first episode of Kenobi along with a panel starring Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, and the rest of the cast.  Don’t expect too much from the panel as it will probably be moderated with preloaded questions.  Either way, to see McGregor and Christensen on stage together should be an emotional moment for most Star Wars fans.

Andor Trailer

Two Actors Confirmed To Be Cast In Andor Star Wars Series

This series has been flying under the radar due to the popularity of the Mandoverse and the upcoming Kenobi series.  There is not a lot of information about the series so expect a trailer and panel.  My expectation is to see Diego Luna and Tony Gilroy make an appearance for the upcoming Rebel series.  Hopefully, we will also get a better idea of how many seasons Andor will be set in.

Sneak Peek For Mando Season 3 And Ahsoka

Ahsoka Will Film Earlier Than Expected | Barside Buzz Star Wars Celebration

With filming of The Mandalorian season 3 wrapping up filming and Ahsoka having just started production it would make sense for at least one panel and some behind-the-scenes clips to be shown.  It should be expected for Dave Filoni and John Favreau to make an appearance to discuss the most popular Star Wars project going on right now.

Jedi Fallen Order 2 Trailer

more Jedi: Fallen Order games coming from EA Star Wars Celebration

Electronic Arts have made it known that they are working on a sequel to the massively popular Star War Jedi Fallen Order video game. There have been some clues that game is in full development but nothing official has been made.  At Star Wars Celebration 2017 there was an entire panel dedicated for Electronic Arts and the upcoming games.  We could easily see not one but multiple panels with different game developers giving updates to some big Star Wars games including Star Wars Eclipse.

Updates On Star Wars Projects In Production

Star Wars Celebration

On Disney Investor Day in 2020 Lucasfilm dropped some pretty big news with multiple projects planned for the future.  It is safe to say that we should expect updates on projects like Star War Acolyte, Lando, and A Droid Story.  The project that I think most fans will be intrigued to hear any news from is Star Wars Rogue Squadron helmed by Patty Jenkins.  The last news we heard about this project was it was being delayed due to Patty’s schedule.  Since that announcement some things have change in regards to Patty’s schedule and what we have heard behind the scenes.  Will there be any updates? Only one can hope.

What do you all think? What are you hoping or expecting to see at Star Wars Celebration this year?
