Todd Phillips took to Instagram today to announce the upcoming release of a new trailer for his film, Joker. He didn’t just release a picture with the date or a video introduction though. No, he released six small clips that contained frames that, when put together, revealed the announcement.

I am guessing those are all clips from the upcoming trailer and that we’re in for a treat. Also, I think it would be a safe bet that we’ll get a little more story out of this trailer than the first one. The motivation for the Joker is something I am very curious in. Phillips has mentioned before that they did not use any stories from the comics to come up with their version of the character, other than being a psycho clown guy of course.
Joker is coming to the big screen on October 4th and will definitely be an experiment for comic book movies. Not the fact that it’s rated R, but the fact it will truly be a villain film.
