Spider-Man: No Way Home is coming soon. CCXP (Brazil’s Comic Con Experience) had an exclusive panel with the actors starring as our Spidey villains. The Spider-Man: No Way Home – Villains Panel had actors Willem Defoe, Jamie Foxx, and Alfred Molina. CCPX discussed their return to the world of Spider-Man. During the interview, Jamie Foxx shared that Electro not being blue is why he returned to Spider-Man.
Blue’s Out, Yellow’s In
During the Spider-Man: No Way Home – Villains Panel, Foxx was asked what excited him most about returning to Spider-Man:
I was excited knowing (producer) Amy (Pascal) for years, man. And knowing what she’s done with this franchise and she was explaining to me that it’s gonna be hot, you know. And I didn’t have to be blue, and things like that as far as my character is concerned. So you’re gonna be a little more hip, and that I get a chance to hang out with these incredible thespians. But to walk on set and to see these guys, I literally bowed to them, and we’ve been having a ball.

The actors were asked how it felt to put the costumes back on. Defoe and Molina shared how uncomfortable the costumes were during the previous Spider-Man movies, especially with how long it took to put them on, and how easy things are now with better technology. Then, Foxx shared how his costume experience in the past verses now have changed as well:
I’m happy we got a brand new start, a brand new look. The blue, you know, the first time we did it, I didn’t care. I was just happy to be in this wonderful course and it was like you said (looking at Defoe and Molina), you know, sort of like two or three hours or whatever like that. With this one, it just feels more comfortable and I think if feels more today, modern, you know, not trying so hard.
Electro’s New Look
I’m glad they went with the traditional yellow for Electro. I don’t know why he was blue in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but the new look is way better.
Spider-Man: No Way Home will be released in theaters on December 17.
