A Sabrina Riverdale Crossover? Kiernan Shipka Returning For Special Episode

A series I was immediately hooked on, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, ended with just four seasons. But it’s not the last we’ll see of Sabrina Spellman. Kiernan Shipka will be reprising her role as the half mortal, half witch from Greendale. Even though I’m not a Riverdale fan, I’m looking forward to watching this crossover. Shipka was such a badass witch and I really wanted more of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Riverdale’s showrunner, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa shared with EW:

We’ve been talking about having Sabrina visit Riverdale since season 1, so it’s thrilling that this is finally happening, as part of our ‘Rivervale’ special event. It’s also perfect that she shows up to help Cheryl Blossom during her hour of greatest need. Everyone on set lost their minds — I think fans will, too. It’s really fun and special.

We will see Sabrina on Riverdale in “The Witching Hour(s),” season 6 episode 4. I know that Sabrina Spellman died in the last season of Chilling Adventures, but she was buried in the family cemetery so it can’t be the end of Spellman. It’s the freaking Cain Pit! How many times did Aunt Hilda come back from that cemetery? It was just a sad funeral and there was no mention that they tried to resurrect her. Also, why couldn’t Theo’s boyfriend, Robin, find a way to save the day. He’s a freaking hobgoblin and can run really fast. Season 4 did get on my nerves and the ending is one of the reasons. It had the final season of Game of Thrones going on for it. Seasons 1 through 3 were great, though.

Season 6 of Riverdale will be out on November 16 and will have 5 episodes.
