When Corbin Bernsen first moved to the Hudson Valley he called the film commission to see what projects he could get involved in and weeks later he was on the set of A Deadly Legend.
A Deadly Legend is a supernatural horror movie shot in different parts of the Hudson Valley in Upstate New York. It tells the classic tale of a real estate developer coming into a small town with plans to build on sacred ground, despite the warnings of a local elder. As soon as the bulldozer blade pierces the dirt, evil spirits are unleashed, and it sets off a chain of events spooky enough to make you soil your undies.
This independent feature film stars veteran actor Corbin Bernsen (L.A. LAW, PSYCH) along with appearances by several other well known faces including New York native Judd Hirsch (Taxi, Independence Day) and the uber-talented actress Lori Petty (Tank Girl, Point Break). Pamela Moriarty makes her directorial debut with A Deadly Legend and Kristen Anne Ferraro, who also has a lead role in the film, produces it. Eric Wolfe wrote the script and served as the films executive producer, as well as playing the role of a possessed beer guzzlin’ contractor. Gravitas Ventures takes the reins as distributor and it’s available Friday July 24th on streaming platforms everywhere.
I had a Zoom call with Corbin Bersnen from his LA home that he’s currently remodeling. We chatted about A Deadly Legend, getting involved in the acting community in Upstate New York where he mainly resides, the roles he’s most recognized for, and his own personal supernatural experiences.
