Ahsoka Casting Call Describes A New Character | Barside Buzz

Ahsoka Shoots In March Plus Rumored Production Schedule And Estimated Release Date | Barside Buzz

The Illuminerdi has published some details of a new Ahsoka casting call which appears to be for a brand new character. Of course, there’s no sure fire way to tell on the character front because of how the casting call process usually works. It’s very easy to hide a chaeracters identity to all but those who show up for an audition. Check out the details as per the outlet below.

We at The Illuminerdi have managed to uncover some more exciting news about Ahsoka with a new character description. According to our sources the series is looking to cast a man in his 20s to play another lead character named “Riz.”

Riz is described as a bit of a lone wolf, world-wise despite his young age and able to handle anything life throws his way. This character is listed as a series regular with options.

Now there are some fans online wondering whether this description is for Ezra Bridger? I’m saying no on that one. I guess considering it was LRM who broke the news that Mena Massoud had signed on to play Ezra, that makes sense. If Ezra is cast already, then there would be no need for this new casting call. Of course, not everyone out there may trust LRM on this one. However, if you look at our track record for Star Wars scoops we have exactly one fail so far and that was a Mando S2 trailer fail. We have since decided to stay well away from the trailer prediction game ourselves.

Maybe when Mena gets announced, and Mikkelsen, other outlets will start to accept our Lucasfilm insiders are legit?

As for who this could be? My guess is simply a new character written for the show. I weirdly saw some fans bemoaning that possibility as Star Wars doesn’t need any new characters…. Ok. I disagree with that position fundamentally and look forward to seeing the many brand new characters that will be created for these shows. Folk’s you gotta remember that prior to The Mandalorian Dinn Djarin didn’t exist in canon, or many others. Easy there, strange fans.

Who knows, but I can confidently say this is not for Ezra Bridger. As Katy Nana says in Mary Poppins, ‘The position as been filled.’ No, I didn’t miss the h out there.

What do you think of this latest news about an Ahsoka casting call. Any hopes out there for what kind of role this new character will have? As always, leave any thoughts you have below.
