Alexandra Essoe and Richard Harmon were stuck between a rock and a hard place in Pitfall, with the wilderness on one side and Randy Couture playing a serial killer on the other.

And then there is a giant trap pit in the midst of everything.

The film stars Marshall Williams (The Ice Road, Exile), Alexandra Essoe, Richard Harmon, Jordan Claire Robbins (The Umbrella Academy, Supernatural), Matt Hamilton (Murder for Sale, Turner & Hooch), and UFC Champion Randy Couture (The Expendables.

Here is the official synopsis:

Hunted, isolated, and forced to survive by a killer’s rules, a group of hikers must escape the maze before the final move is made. In Pitfall, a remote wilderness trip turns deadly when Scott falls into a concealed pit trap and is left badly injured. As the group searches for help, they discover the forest has been rigged with calculated traps by an unseen hunter who is watching, testing, and manipulating their every move. To survive, they must outsmart the predator before his twisted design claims them all.

James Kondelik (Behind The Walls) directed the film from the screenplay written by Kondelik and Victor Rose.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta chatted with two of the lead actors Alexandra Essoe and Richard Harmon. In this lively discussion, we talked about horror movies, playing these types of characters, braving the production sets in the wilderness, and going toe-to-toe with Randy Couture.

Alexandra Essoe is a fixture of horror films, landing her first lead role in the 2014 film Starry Eyes, about an aspiring actress who sacrifices everything to become famous. She went on to several notable horror projects, including Midnighters, Doctor Sleep, The Haunting of Bly Manor, and Midnight Mass. Some of her other credits included Homewrecker, Trim Season, The Pope’s Exorcist, and The Last Stop in Yuma County.

Richard Harmon is a veteran television actor who has starred in many cult television series, including The Killing, Continuum, and The 100. He appeared in many indie horror films like Darkness Falls, Grave Encounters 2, Trick ‘r Treat, and the blockbuster horror film Final Destination: Bloodlines.
