Directed by Fede Alvarez, known for his work on “Evil Dead” and “Don’t Breathe,” the movie’s screenplay is a collaboration between Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues, both of whom have previously worked together on “Don’t Breathe 2.” The script is based on characters originally created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett.

The production team boasts some heavy hitters, with Ridley Scott, the director of the original “Alien” and a producer/director of “Prometheus” and “Alien: Covenant,” at the helm. Scott is joined by producers Michael Pruss (“Boston Strangler”) and Walter Hill (“Alien”). Executive producers include Fede Alvarez, Elizabeth Cantillon (“Charlie’s Angels”), Brent O’Connor (“Bullet Train”), and Tom Moran (“Unstoppable”).

“Alien: Romulus” aims to deliver a spine-tingling experience that both honors the legacy of the franchise and introduces a new chapter of terror in space.
