Tupac Shakur was one of the most influential musical artists in history. Even now, twenty years after his death, he is seen as one of the seminal icons of hip-hop. It was inevitable that a film would be made chronicling his life and legacy, and that’s exactly what we’re getting in this film from music video director Benny Boom. The movie stars Demetrius Shipp in the lead role as Tupac Shakur, and I have to say, the resemblance is uncanny.
