The horror genre has had a fascination with witches for quite some time. The events in Salem fascinated fans and historians of the atrocities and demonic worship. From Eren Celeboglu and Ari Costa, it was a ripe opportunity for an original story with All Fun and Games.

The film stars Natalia Dyer (Stranger Things), Asa Butterfield (Sex Education), Benjamin Evan Ainsworth (Pinocchio), Laurel Marsden (Ms. Marvel), Kolton Stewart (Locke & Key), and Annabeth Gish (Midnight Mass). Celeboglu and Costa directed and wrote the film with J.J. Braider with additional writing credit.

Here’s the description of the film:

A Russo Brothers’ ABGO production starring Natalia Dyer and Asa Butterfield, All Fun and Games explores the elements of cruelty inherent in children’s games—Flashlight Tag, Hangman, Hide & Seek—and what happens when the games go too far. When a group of teens find a cursed knife in the woods, they unleash a malevolent demon that will not rest until it’s claimed all of their lives and souls in a terrifying deathmatch.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta chatted with directors/writers Eren Celeboglu and Ari Costa on this horror project. We discussed the alternate location for Salem, Mass., children in horror movies, kids’ games, and the creepy large house.

Eren Celeboglu directed short films and television episodes before making his feature film directorial debut with All Fun and Games. His past credits include the short films The Bride and The Internet Kills. He directed episodes for the comedy series Scrubs and Scrubs: Interns.

Ari Costa has worked in various capacities with Joe and Anthony Russo since 2010. He was an associate producer for Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. He directed numerous short films, including The Internet Kills and The Bride with Celeboglu.

All Fun and Games is in select theaters and VOD this Friday, September 1.
