La Fortuna | Álvaro Mel Talks About Working With An Int’l Cast [Exclusive Interview]

The new adventure thriller, La Fortuna, brings Álvaro Mel as one of the lead characters in the new AMC+ series. An adaptation of the Spanish novel El Tesoro del Cisne Negro (The Treasure of the Black Swan) written by Paco Roca and Guillermo CorralDone with direction of Oscar Winner Alejandro Amenábar “(“The Sea Inside, “The Others“). 

The Synopsis 

In La Fortuna, Álex Ventura (Álvar Mel, “La Otra Mirada”), a young and inexperienced diplomat, unintentionally becomes the leader of a mission that will put all his convictions to the test: to recover the sunken treasure stolen by Frank Wild (Stanley Tucci, “Big Night”), an adventurer who travels the world plundering items of common heritage from the depths of the sea. Forming a unique team with Lucía (Ana Polvorosa, “Cable Girls”), a combative public official, and Jonas Pierce (Clarke Peters, “The Wire”), a brilliant American lawyer with a passion for old pirate tales, Álex sets out on the adventure of a lifetime, on which he learns about the importance of love, friendship and commitment to your own beliefs.

Álvaro Mel has lived a life that most influencers wish to have. Yes, Mel first started his career as a social media influencer in Spain. Leaving college he decided to relocate to Madrid to pursue a career as a DJ. But the influencers charisma led him to modeling and went on to acting. Now he is known for projects like Bajo La Red, A Different View, and Paraíso.
