Hot damn. Who would’ve thought that when American Horror Story originally came out that it would be around for so long. I honestly thought it’d be lucky to get a handful of seasons, but here we are, several years later, and FX’s horror anthology show is about as far away from ending as pretty much any show not called The Simpsons or South Park could be. 

The announcement came at the Television Critics Association press tour on Thursday, where it was stated that the show would be sticking around for THREE MORE SEASONS. That’s three seasons in addition to the tenth season. That means it’s safe through Season 13.

“Ryan and Brad are the undisputed masters of horror TV, having created the anthological limited series with American Horror Story and sustaining its success for nearly a decade as FX’s highest-rated series,” chairman of FX Networks and FX Productions John Landgraf said. “We are grateful to them and Dana Walden and our studio partners for committing to another three years. ‘AHS’ has showcased a wealth of award winning actors since day one and we appreciate the contributions of everyone, including Ryan, Brad and fellow executive producers Tim Minear, James Wong, Alexis Martin Woodall and Bradley Buecker, the writers, directors, cast and crew for each new, unforgettable installment of ‘American Horror Story.’”

So expect plenty more themed seasons from the filmmakers that I’m sure horror fans will continue to eat up.
