The last of the qualifiers for NBC’s American Song Contest is completed with its final 11 artists.
The weekly competition modeled after the famous Eurovision has all fifty states and territories in a song competition to win for the country’s best hit song.
At the end of the night, a national jury of music industry experts selects one competitor for the semi-finals with three other artists selected by the nation.
In this fifth and final qualifier, eleven artists compete for the final four spots into the semi-finals. Michigan’s Ada Leann earned the national jury vote with the rest relying on the nation’s voters that are opened through Wednesday, April 20.
Hosted by Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg, the music competition has a wide range of performers from undiscovered talent, up-and-coming new artists, rising stars, and established legendary icons. These artists range from solo artists, duos, groups, or bands to represent all 50 states, five U.S. territories, and the nation’s capital. They will perform a new original song in celebration of different styles and genres across America.
