In a recent interview, MCU star Tom Hiddleston has praise for the story at the heart of Avengers: Doomsday, saying it’s never been done before. The actor recently spoke with GQ about his career, including his soon to drop TV series The Night Manager Season 2. However, as you’d expect Hiddleston was relatively more tight lipped about Doomsday. Well, he’s been doing this a long time now. However, he did have some praise for the story the Russo Brothers are attempting to tell.
“My contribution has been contributed, and it is monumental. The centre of the story is absolutely brilliant, and was so surprising when I read it. It just has never been done before.”
The whole cast are pretty much finished now, given principal photography has wrapped. However, there are reshoot planned for Spring, so who knows, maybe Hiddleston isn’t quite finished yet on Doomsday?

The last we saw of Loki in Loki Season 2, he had replaced He Who Remains and became even more of a God than he was. The centre of the Multiverse, twisting and holding the threads of space and time together. Yet, also trapped away from those he cared for.
Given Doomsday/Secret Wars is the end of this Multiverse Saga, it makes sense Loki’s new role will be important. Rumors have a group of heroes being assigned to protect Loki, but I’d take a pinch of salt with all those early rumors for now.
Hiddleston joins a huge ensemble cast for Doomsday that now includes all of the OG Avengers save Black Widow and perhaps Hawkeye (he could still be in it).
What do you think of his comment as Tom Hiddleston praises the central story of Avengers: Doomsday? Can it really be something no one has done before, in Hollywood? I guess we will see in shy of a year’s time when it hits theatres. Leave any thoughts below.
