They’re big. They’re works of art. And they’re made out of food. Judges Amirah Kassem and Benny Rivera are in the front row to witness these amazing works of food art based on Disney themes with Foodtastic.

Here is the description of this newest reality competition series:

Foodtastic is an immersive global competition series in which highly skilled artists create extravagant scene work and larger-than-life sculptures made entirely out of food. From vegetables and butter to fruit and cheese, these everyday items are transformed into works of art. Each episode is rooted in iconic Disney intellectual property and the food-based builds are an extension of that world.

The series is hosted by multi-talented award-winning actress Keke Palmer.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta spoke with the judges Amirah Kassem and Benny Rivera on the reality competition series. We talked about the competition, the art, the food…..and more food.

Amirah Kassem is a Mexican-born American baker, who is the owner and founder of FLOUR SHOP. She specializes in sculpting custom cakes without the use of fondant and best known for her “Explosion Cake.” Her Cara the Unicorn Explosion Cake is Instagram’s most memorable trend of 2017. She is also a best-selling author of “The Power of Sprinkles: A Cake Book” and “The Magical Land of Birthday” series.

Benny Rivera is the founder of New York City’s City Cakes.  He studied at the Institute of Culinary Education, French Culinary Institute, and under the guidance of cake designer Colette Peters. He specializes in some of the most advanced techniques and comes up with inventive methods of cake designs. His specialty ranges from pumpkins to chocolate and also includes sugar paste flowers, buttercream, royal icing, and creative fondant techniques. He has been a contestant on The Food Network Challenge, Sugar Dome, and two seasons of Halloween Wars. Also, he was featured on The Rachael Ray Show, TLC’s Fabulous Cakes, and My Secret Wedding.

Foodtastic is currently streaming on Disney+ today.
