The Rockefeller Center owl is forever immortalized in Disney’s short animated film An Almost Christmas Story.
Based on the true story of a tiny owl rescued in the Christmas tree at the Rockefeller Center in New York, this short film is about a tiny owl trying to find its way home after inadvertently ending up at the Rockefeller Center in New York City.
The voice cast includes John C. Reilly, Gianna Joseph, Jim Gaffigan, Phil Rosenthal, Cary Christopher, Mamoudou Athie, Estella Madrigal, Natasha Lyonne, and Alex Ross Perry.
David Lowery directed and wrote the story.

Moon, a curious young owl, unexpectedly finds himself stuck in a Christmas tree destined for Rockefeller Plaza. In his attempts to escape the bustling city, Moon befriends a lost little girl named Luna. Together, they embark on a heartwarming adventure as they journey back home to their parents.
