According to some newly claimed Barside Buzz, Anakin will wear Clone Wars armor in Ahsoka flashbacks. Well, I say flashbacks, because we don’t truly understand if they are or not? However, the point is that Bespin Bulletin have published an article saying their sources have told them to expect to see Hayden in The Clone Wars armor and that there will be scenes set during The Clone Wars show.
At the end of Episode 4 we find Ahsoka coming face to face with her former master in the World Between Worlds. We already had rumors that Episode 5 is an Anakin heavy one, and that Ahsoka will see things from her past, including some what if scenarios. The report from Bespin covers all this, but the only really new information is the claim Anakin will at one point wear his armor. Fans had hoped to see this in Obi-Wan Kenobi flashbacks, but it didn’t come to pass.

The outlet also says they’ve heard that Rex, played by Temuera Morrison shows up in some of these Clone Wars scenes. We already had a rumor from One Take News that Rex was in Ahsoka. However, fans assumed it may be an older Rex would see in ‘current time’. Bespin says they can’t say if that is the case or not? However, they have heard Rex at least appears in some of the Clone Wars flashbacks. The site are not clear on whether it is just Morrison’s voice in full armor or a physical appearance. However, it would certainly be easier and cheaper to have Rex keep his helmet on for these scenes.
So far, I can’t see any place for the older Rex to show up in this show. There’s so far nowhere really you could drop him in outside perhaps a cameo appearance in the close. Of course, there’s still 5 episodes left to watch, so who knows?
As for Anakin, I’m looking forward to Episode 5. Seeing the armor from The Clone Wars isn’t essential to me as a fan. However, if they are showing a scene from The Clone Wars in live-action, then it should match the cartoon.
