Anamaria Marinca On Playing A 200 Year Old Witch In You Won’t Be Alone [Exclusive Interview]

Focus Features brings us the new film, You Won’t Be Alone. With the participation of Anamaria Marinca in an unrecognizable look.

 

The Synopsis 

Set in an isolated mountain village in 19th century Macedonia, YOU WONT BE ALONE follows a young girl who is kidnapped and then transformed into a witch by an ancient spirit. Curious about life as a human, the young witch accidentally kills a peasant in the nearby village and then takes her victim’s shape to live life in her skin. Her curiosity ignited, she continues to wield this horrific power in order to understand what it means to be human.

The Romanian actress is know for her debut in the human trafficking drama, Sex Traffic. Thanks to her performance she won the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress. She is known for other other projects like 4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 Days, Five Minutes Of Heaven, Europa Report and Fury. This year she was seen in the television series, The Chelsea Detective and soon in Deadline.
