Andrew Garfield hasn’t gotten the call to appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Or so he continues to tell news outlets. Yet, a lot of people really aren’t buying it. Which is probably why he’s getting so many questions…
Yesterday we shared that Andrew Garfield told MTV‘s Josh Horowitz that he hasn’t gotten a call, adding he should have gotten a call by now if he was in Now Way Home.

Most people I’ve seen online don’t seem to believe this. Especially not The Disney Insider‘s Skyler Shuler, tweeting:
Sony is doing everything in their power to get these actors to deny their involvement, they likely wont be shown in marketing, all to try keep the element of surprise.
In other words, Garfield is a bad actor here and Josh knows it. https://t.co/O2xidvFevT

I bought it, mostly because I very much do NOT want to see a live-action SpiderVerse. I fear such a project would lose the vision of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker and friends. It also seems cheap to do one in live-action just because the animated version was popular.
I have come to realize though, that it won’t be that big a deal if the other Spider-Men are small cameos. Still, I’d rather just see some multiverse villains and leave the Spider-Men out of it.
Since that interview, Andrew Garfield was on ET were he also had to deny his involvement in No Way Home:
I feel like I’m in a game of Werewolf and I’m just saying, ‘I’m not the werewolf, I am not the werewolf. I promise you guys, I’m not the werewolf!’ Listen, what people are talking about is a really cool idea. And again, I haven’t received a phone call, but, you know…
Again with the phone calls. Is there any other way to claim your not in a project?
ET also asked Andrew Garfield if revisiting the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man even appealed to him:
It’s weird. It’s not something I’ve really thought about because I closed the book on it for myself and I haven’t had to think about it. So it’s not something that I’ve really considered. So, yeah, that’s my honest answer.
So, will Andrew Garfield be in Spider-Man: No Way Home? I guess we’ll have to wait for an undeniable leak to find out.
