We’ve got more on Doctor Doom’s face and his powers, lots of Secret Wars rumors around returnees and quite a bit more besides. That’s today’s Marvel Rumor Roundup, so let’s begin with some updates on a rumor we shared yesterday, see related section below. Namely that Doctor Doom’s face and him looking like Tony would not be a feature of Avengers: Doomsday. Source MTTSH followed this up with some clarifications.
Specifically that we the audience will see Doctor Doom’s face beneath the mask, but none of the heroes in the film will. The scooper then added this,

We also have some rumors on just where Doctor Doom gets his powers from. This came from TCC’s Alex Perez in a recent Q&A.
“It mainly has to do with the concepts of magic that are explored in those shows. As much as this film is heavily based on the multiverse, time, and science, a good portion of it really goes into exploring the supernatural. The Darkhold, the runes, the way Agatha absorbs magic—it’s all relevant to something Doom does in Avengers: Doomsday. All I can tell you is to beware the man who carries the Word of God.”
When further questioned on social media, Alex confirmed he’s talking about the ‘Word of God’ from the comics.

Alex also claims the theory that Doom is a Tony Stark variant tortured by Kang is way off the mark. Also, adding that he’s heard eventually there will be a more permanent incumbent to Doctor Doom.
“There is no truth to that theory. In the same way that Chris Evans can play two different characters in the MCU with the same face, so can Robert Downey Jr. play Victor Von Doom. And just like how now we have a main Johnny Storm with Joseph Quinn, I’m hearing we’ll eventually have another Victor Von Doom.”
Finally from Alex, he claims The Watcher Utau (seen in What If..?) will make his presence felt in Avengers: Doomsday.

More from MTTSH and this is mostly rumors we have heard elsewhere for some time.
The scooper claims to have learned that all three Spider-Men are in Secret Wars. Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland. Additionally, that Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool also appears in the film.
There are reports Maguire is in Doomsday and appears in the opening scene. Reynolds jointly has been rumored for Doomsday as well. I have not heard any rumors of Garfield or Holland being in Doomsday, yet.
Finally, Daniel RPK claims that Joe Locke will returns as Wiccan in VisionQuest. A rumor I think I’ve seen so many times I’m sure it would at this point be more surprising if Locke isn’t in the show.
