Andrew Garfield would come back as Spidey again, if it felt right the actor says. Garfield along with fellow former Spidey Tobey Maguire made their returns in Spider-Man: No Way Home, although both did leave the MCU once more at the close of the film. Since then fans have clamored for a new Garfield starring Spider-Man film and Sony’s Spider-Man Universe currently has a distinct lack of Spider-Man in it.
Speaking with Variety for the first time since he was allowed to talk about Spider-Man, Garfield says he would be keen to return if the project was right.
“I mean, yes, definitely open to something if it felt right. Peter and Spider-Man, those characters are all about service, to the greater good and the many. He’s a working-class boy from Queens that knows struggle and loss and is deeply empathetic. I would try to borrow Peter Parker’s ethical framework in that, if there was an opportunity to step back in and tell more of that story, I would have to feel very sure and certain in myself.”
Is an answer to Sony’s problems just making Venom and Morbius be from the Andrew Garfield SM Universe? I get the feeling that the symbiote left behind for Tom Holland’s Parker won’t result in a face of with Hardy’s Venom. Instead I’d guess Marvel might do their own version of Venom. If S0ny lets them anyway.

Fans are now open to and understanding of their being different Spider-Man Universes. Surely this is the best time for Sony to use Garfield in their movies and fans will know there’s a definite connection to the MCU even if just for that one movie? Since it seems everyone in the world has seen No Way Home already, I doubt it would confuse fans.
