The swampland is not the ideal getaway for a family gathering. In A House on the Bayou, a small family starring Angela Sarafyan, Lia McHugh, and Paul Schneider discover neighbors nearby have a nefarious plan for them.

Here is the official synopsis of A House on the Bayou:

In an effort to reconnect and mend their relationship, Jessica and John Chambers (Angela Sarafyan, Paul Schneider) seek an idyllic getaway with their daughter Anna (Lia McHugh) to a remote mansion in rural Louisiana. When suspiciously friendly neighbors show up for dinner uninvited, the weekend takes a sinister turn as the fragile family bond is tested and dark secrets come to light.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta spoke with actors Angela Sarafyan and Lia McHugh on their mother-daughter relationship, the huge mansion next to the marsh, the creepiness portrayed by Jacob Lofland, and the cat.

Angela Sarafyan has appeared in several television series and films, including Kabluey, On the Doll, A Beautiful Life, The Informers, Lost & Found in Armenia, and the sci-fi Reminiscence. She had a supporting role in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn—Part 2 and portrayed Clementine Pennyfeather in HBO’s Westworld since 2016.

Lia McHugh made her feature film acting debut as Abby in 2017’s Totem. The following year she speared as the young Ashley in Along Came the Devil. However, she made her mark as one of the children in the psychological horror-thriller The Lodge that also starred Riley Keough and Jaeden Martell. Earlier this month, she made her mark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by playing Sprite in Eternals.

A House on the Bayou is now playing on EPIX and available for digital purchase via Paramount Home Entertainment.
