Apple TV+ Unveils Epic WWII Drama Masters Of The Air

Apple TV+ has released the trailer for its upcoming World War II drama, Masters of the Air. Executive produced by the formidable team behind “Band of Brothers” and “The Pacific” — Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman — the series boasts a stellar cast featuring Academy Award-nominee Austin Butler, Callum Turner, Anthony Boyle, Nate Mann, Rafferty Law, Academy Award-nominee Barry Keoghan, Josiah Cross, Branden Cook, and Ncuti Gatwa.

Scheduled to premiere globally on Apple TV+ on Friday, January 26, Masters of the Air will kick off its nine-episode season with a double feature, followed by a new episode every Friday until March 15, 2024.

Adapted from Donald L. Miller’s book of the same title and penned by John Orloff, Masters of the Air chronicles the harrowing experiences of the 100th Bomb Group (known as the “Bloody Hundredth”) as they embark on perilous bombing raids over Nazi Germany. The narrative delves into the challenges of frigid conditions, lack of oxygen, and the sheer terror of combat at 25,000 feet above ground. At its core, the series explores the psychological and emotional toll paid by these young men as they played a crucial role in dismantling Hitler’s Third Reich. Some were captured, others wounded or killed, and a fortunate few made it home, yet all faced a toll on their well-being.
