Well, this is an interesting move from Warner Bros. New York Comic Con is happening right now, and with it, they opted to start teasing their next big DC picture, Aquaman. While there is no Hall H type presentation at New York Comic Con, it is important that they at least use this opportunity to push what could be the pivotal film in the franchise.

Yesterday, we got a new poster, which teased Aquaman donning his classic orange and green outfit, and it only seemed fitting we’d be getting a whole new trailer today. For most folks out there, yes this will be a new trailer, but for those of us who made it to Hall H during last July’s San Diego Comic-Con, this is the same five-minute-plus clip we got back then.

Don’t get me wrong. It’s a solid first look at the movie and it really paints how much of a fun adventure flick it’s going to be, but I can’t help but wonder what it means going forward. Warner Bros. clearly didn’t put much effort into putting together anything new for New York Comic Con. They used an old video to share with the masses.

Does this mean we’ll be getting a new trailer in the month or two leading up to the actual release? I think it very well could. So while this may be a bit disappointing for someone like me who’s already seen this video, it only means we have more coming.
