Ariela Barer – Rebel
Ariela Barer loves playing teenagers on the screen.
From Netflix’s Atypical to Hulu’s Runaways, she often plays interesting teens in one aspect or another. This time around, ABC’s Rebel, she’ll be playing Ziggie, the daughter to Annie “Rebel” Bello (played by Katey Sagal) on the show.
Ziggie is an adopted teen daughter, who has a big heart like her mother and very supportive of her activist shenanigans. Also, her character struggles with being hooked on pain medication after an injury that forces her to attend Narcotics Anonymous meetings regularly. As a teen, she’ll need her mother, who’ll be focused on seeking justice for the common people.
Rebel is inspired by the life of Erin Brockovich today. Annie “Rebel” Bello is a funny and fearless legal advocate with a blue-collar background, who helps those in need without a law degree.
