Arrow: Is A Member Of Team Arrow Working For Diaz?

This season of Arrow has started extremely well.  They are going with the idea that “less is more.” Last episode we didn’t even see Green Arrow, but the episode was well done.  It leaves many fans wanting more.  What do you think of the season so far?  Will we find out what the Longbow Hunters have in store (or if even of them even carry a longbow?).  Will we find out more about the future Roy and William?  Read on to find out!

FBI Agent Felicity — For a guy who completely took over a city last season, the FBI doesn’t seem to worried about Diaz still lurking about.  Felicity uses her quivering voice to speak to the FBI Agent Watson telling her that she needs Felicity’s services and that Oliver is not receiving justice.  Felicity figures out a way to trap Diaz and the Longbow Hunters while they try to steal a vaccine. The FBI Agent agrees to go behind her boss’ back and go after Diaz.  Apparently, she cares a little more after all.  For as much as she didn’t like them last season, Watson stopped off at Party City to grab some FBI outfits in order to sneak Felicity, Dinah and Rene into the CDC to set the trap.

Breaking and  Entering — The Longbow Hunters stroll right in to the CDC and get the vaccine they came for.  Meanwhile, Silencer and Dinah fight (which I think is pretty cool when they fight while all else is silent) and the other go after the remaining members of The Longbow Hunters (who a reader pointed out that none seem to carry an actual longbow).  Well, their plan sucked and all of the villains got away.  Honestly, I think Felicity is working with Diaz and that is how she is still alive.  I bet Diaz said he would let she and William live if she worked for him, which is why the Longbow Hunters easily gained access to CDC and she “lost” all of them.  If so, she’s playing a dangerous game.  Because of her “plan” FBI Agent Watson is relocated.  This yet again benefits Diaz and co.  Interestingly enough, Felicity and Rene caught Silencer and are holding her captive.

Diaz and the remaining Longbow Hunters are seen with the vaccines (which Diaz shoots up) and give him immediate strength.  Reminded me of…Mirakuru…Could it be, or am I way off the mark here? Could possibly tie to Shado (who actually uses a longbow in the comics), but maybe I’m just getting carried away here.

The Demon — Diaz has an insider that Brick knows about.  He provides very little knowledge to Oliver since he got “rid” of the guard from last week.  As Oliver goes to find the Demon, he realizes that it was a clear set-up by Brick.  Even though he is hurt, Oliver still dominates the men who jump him.  We find out that there is an individual known as the Demon, but he summons people, not the other way around.  Oliver has really good dialogue with Bronze Tiger, and fans get a bit of a shift in perspective concerning the type of person he really is.  As Oliver goes to Brick’s trap in the mess hall, he finds out that it is a fight club within the prison.  This part definitely felt like Arkham Asylum to me with the prisoners being in charge.  Of course, an injured Oliver has to fight Sampson (Cody Rhodes).  Who’s going to win?  Oliver, duh!  It was actually pretty cool.  He dominated Sampson, broke both of his arms, then went after Brick!  It was pretty badass.

In order for Oliver to get to the Demon, he has to sacrifice even more.  The Demon is Level 2 security, so he has to do something bad…really bad.  Oliver takes down all of the officers who were betting on he and Sampson, and even stabbed two of them with a shank!  One step forward, two steps back.  Who is the Demon?  Will it be someone fans know, or someone new?

A.R.G.U.S. — Diggle and Lyla go to Switzerland on official business, and bring…Curtis.  Yes, he is a tech. genius, but they don’t have anyone from their company the can bring?  Interesting.  What is more interesting is that Lyla made a copy of the data Curtis gained, while hiding it from Diggle. Why did she hide info. from him?  Because “sometimes you have to cross the line for the greater good”.  Nice line.  especially since Diggle gave up the vigilante lifestyle.

This week’s episode covered a bit of plot development.  I was really looking forward to seeing more flash forwards, but we didn’t get any with this episode, which was disappointing.  We did get more questions though. What did you think of this week’s episode?  Who is the Demon?  What is Diaz’s plan?  Is Felicity working for Diaz? Leave your thoughts in the usual spot, and thanks for reading!
