Arrow’s days are numbered. Oliver Queen has spent many a year fighting for his city, but very soon, his time will pass on, and he will ride into the sunset. Pretty much, Arrow is nearing the end of its final season. But, in true Arrowverse style, we know it’s not taking the rest of its world down with it. It may be gone, but there plenty others on the way, including a spinoff film following Mia Smoak and a couple of canaries.
We have known that there would be a backdoor pilot getting filmed, and now, actress Katherine McNamara has taken to Twitter to share that today they have started work on the show, which is now titled Green Arrow and the Canaries.

McNamara will be starring alongside Katie Cassidy Rodgers and Juliana Harkavy, who will be playing the other titular Canaries. Of course, Mia is the daughter of Oliver and Felicity, and this show will see her take the mantle from Oliver.
