The true horror for many musicians is being irrelevant.
In a cross-bending genre film, Art of a Hit is a chilling vision of a rock band who saw soaring heights of success in the late 90s, but are now haunted by irrelevance. Seeking out the help of an eccentric super-producer, the band joins him in a 1000-year-old French chateau to record a comeback album, only to realize they’re up against more than just the pressure to succeed.
The film stars Ryan Donowho (Imaginary Heroes, Broken Flowers), Charles Saxton (Trollhunters: Taless of Arcadia, Hung), Tim Jo (Pitch, The Neighbors), Rob Raco (A Hundred Lies, Riverdale), James Earl (Fired Up!, Gridiron Gang), Allie MacDonald (Under the Silver Lake, House at the End of the Street), and David Valdes (Dear White People, Speechless). Gaelan Draper directed the film with co-writing credits with Saxton.
