Horror fans looking for a scare this weekend don’t need a subscription. Pluto TV’s Double Feature Fridays continues its month of free Halloween-season streaming tonight, Friday, October 23, with a pairing built on a clever contrast: one film about a family that must stay silent to survive, and another about a woman who must use her voice to escape.

Leading off is A Quiet Place Part II, John Krasinski’s sequel to his 2018 hit. After the deadly events at their farmhouse, the Abbott family faces the terrors of the outside world, still fighting to survive in silence. Krasinski returns as writer and director, with Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe reprising their roles and Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou joining the cast.

The indie half of the bill, Diabolic, takes a supernatural turn. It follows a woman forced to return to the fundamentalist compound where she was raised after she is haunted by the vengeful spirit of a cursed witch. Mia Challis, John Kim and Elizabeth Cullen star.

Entertainment Tonight correspondent Emily Curl will introduce both films with original segments featuring never-before-seen interviews and behind-the-scenes footage from the ET archives.

Launched in partnership with Entertainment Tonight, Double Feature Fridays pairs a studio favorite with a new independent film each week, with every pairing connected by shared talent, genre or theme. Viewers can expect titles from Paramount, Warner Bros., Lionsgate, Radial Entertainment and others alongside free indie premieres.

A new double feature premieres tonight at 8 p.m. ET on Pluto TV Spotlight before joining the Double Feature Fridays collection on demand, so anyone who misses tonight’s broadcast can catch up later. The weekly series runs through the end of 2026.
