Avengers 4: This Surprising Character May Return In The Superhero Sequel

Avengers: Infinity War has hit theaters and, as of this writing, taken in nearly $1.9 billion in worldwide box office receipts. Very clearly, a chord has been struck with this franchise, and fans can’t wait to see what happens in next year’s follow-up, Avengers 4.

Of course, Infinity War left things at quite the cliffhanger, leaving it all a big mystery as to how things will proceed going forward. Based on everything we know so far, Avengers 4 will indeed have a gigantic roster of characters, but it may very well include some characters that we never thought were going to make it back.

Earlier this month, Express reported that Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who portrayed Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron, was spotted on the set of the upcoming superhero team-up sequel. So does this mean that Quicksilver will once again be alive and well somehow? I wouldn’t bet on it just yet.

If you’ve been following the production of the flick, you’ll know that there have been plenty of indications that this will be a time travel story — from the old Captain America outfit, to Black Widow’s outfit in Captain America: Civil War‘s opening, it seem that we will somehow be catapulted through the MCU so far in some capacity — and this may very well include Quicksilver’s involvement in previous events.
