Disclaimer: This post contains spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War.

Avengers: Infinity War is a week old, and that means we can now fully trudge forth into the era we’ll remember as “the era where we still didn’t know the title for Avengers 4. But that’s never stopped anyone from guessing the title for a sequel, and if we were to start guessing, a good place to start is within the runtime of Avengers: Infinity War.

Well, if we are looking, then we may be barking up the wrong tree. Uproxx recently sat down with directors Anthony and Joe Russo, and the duo said that not only are we still far away from the title reveal, but the title of the film was apparently not even spoken in Infinity War. Long story short: don’t expect it to be Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet.

But does that mean it’s completely separated from what’s happened in Infinity War? Maybe not.

“It’s certainly grounded in the narrative that we have been following throughout the MCU – very well grounded…”

So where does that leave us? Well, I find myself skewing more towards the camp that believes the next Avengers film could be called The New Avengers. At the end of this film, we were left with the original Avengers team, and by the time the film ends, I can imagine we’ll be left with an all-new take on the team — the New Avengers, so to speak.

What do you think the title of the upcoming film will be? Let us know your thoughts down below!
