Some names to add to the crew list, Avengers: Doomsday cinematographer is Newton Thomas Sigil and the second unit director is Robert Alonzo. The information on Sigil comes from an IMDb listing. Newton Thomas Sigil (Bohemian Rhapsody, X-Men: Days Of Future Past) will serve as cinematographer for directors the Russo Brothers on the film.

Cinematography is of course a vital role in any film. It is usually always the director who choose the person they want to capture their vision.

As for second unit director, what do they do? The SU director tends to film smaller little moments or pick up shots which don’t involve the main cast. Maybe a some stunt double fighting, or a background explosion etc. A good SU can really benefit a film and it’s now Chad Stahelski got started, formerly working with the Russos himself.

Cosmic Marvel on social media posts that Robert Alonzo (Deadpool, Oblivion, The Batman, Captain America: Brave New World) will act as SU director on Avengers: Doomsday. They do not state their source for this one, so slight pinch of salt. However, this seems to make sense to me.

Plus, in this Instagram interview, Sebastian Stan reveals he begins filming for Doomsday in May. Yes, folks, I know it’s the 1st today, but he didn’t say when in May.

What do you think of Newton Thomas Sigil as cinematographer and Robert Alonzo as second unit director on Avengers: Doomsday? Thoughts below if you got em.
