In today’s Barside Buzz we have some Avengers: Doomsday rumors revolving around the X-Men vs Avengers conflict, plus a little more. Let’s begin with a recap on previous rumors. So far one of the plot points heavily rumored in Doomsday is the Avengers, plus Doom heading to the X-Men Universe to help save them. However, according to a new rumor, this is not the X-Men’s first rodeo with Universal Incursions.
From MTTSH on her paid sub posts,
“In Avengers: Doomsday, the X-Men have been through many Incursions, so when the Avengers and Fantastic Four come to their universe to try and help them, they assume they came there to destroy them, and that’s why they fight.”
So if true, this explains why the X-Men initially react badly to the MCU heroes. One assumes they learn the MCU is not an immediate threat and relations cool.
In a second rumor about the X-Men of the film, we have some hints that their world may not be as fantastic as things first look.
Now this came as a response to something Magneto actor Ian McKellen said recently in this interview.
McKellen casually ended his chat by saying he destroyed New Jersey the other day. Then said, he probably should not have said that.

Interesting, though remember none of this is confirmed and as far as I know neither of these or anyone else outside production has seen a cut of the film. Sometimes, these plot rumors get the Chinee whispers effects as they pass round. As always, pinch of salt till it’s proven correct or not.
