We’re well into April at this point. More specifically, just north of a couple of weeks away from the launch of one of the biggest movies of all time in Avengers: Endgame. After seeing a large portion of our heroes get snuffed out by a single snap from Thanos, we will now see how this grand opus will come to an end…or at least this current saga of films. But until that day comes, the various amount of marketing material will suffice.

Needless to say, if you want to go into the movie cold, neither the featurette above nor the clip below will be something you want to watch. First up, we have a video that shows off clips from Infinity War and the upcoming Endgame. The minute-long featurette shows the stars of our film stating a lot of the obvious — that the stakes are higher than ever, and that no one will be able to see what’s coming. Usual ad fluff, but I’ll be damned if I don’t believe what they’re saying.

Perhaps most excitingly is the clip that aired on Good Morning America and has since been released by Marvel themselves.

This is a clip that was described weeks ago at the Disney shareholders meeting, and I’ll tell you what…I like it a lot. While these movies are generally all about spectacle, we can’t forget that the real meat and potatoes are the interaction scenes that take place between the explosions. Watching this scene between each of the superheroes really gives me a Captain America: Civil War scene — more specifically the one where they debated the Sokovia Accords.

This time around, they’re figuring out the best course of action, with Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel advocating a direct assault on Thanos. It’s worth noting that, based on Black Widow’s hair, this takes place right after the events in Avengers: Infinity War, so I can only guess that this initial assault doesn’t go so well for the Avengers.
