Marvel Studios is really going all-out with their posters. Their poster game has been high this week. In addition to getting 32 character posters earlier in the week, we got two international posters as well. Perhaps it’s them trying to compensate for the fact that they aren’t showing any footage beyond the first 15 or so minutes of the movie, but whatever the reason, we’re not complaining. Any chance to see our heroes in poster form, we’re all for.

Now, Disney has released another batch of character posters. Apparently, the House of Mouse announced a Shanghai event for Avengers: Endgame, and they used these posters to announce the event. Unlike earlier this week, there are only five of them, this time highlighting Hawkeye, Thor, Iron Man, Cap, and Ant-Man. Obviously, this is some original art for this event, as it shows a Shanghai skyline in the background. That’s not to say there won’t be one in the film, but it very much seems geared towards the event they’re promoting. It is odd they opted to select Hawkeye and Ant-Man. Nothing against those two, but they aren’t exactly the big-selling Avengers we come to expect. Black Widow and Hulk would have been the easier go-tos — at least from this writer’s perspective. Then again, Ant-Man and the Wasp was a big hit in China, so maybe it’s not so odd, after all.
