While many of us often complain about modern trailers giving too much stuff away in this day and age, Marvel Studios seems to be perfecting the craft of doing just the opposite. While one could argue they do give too much away in most of their marketing, the same can’t really be said about their upcoming opus, Avengers: Endgame. Rather than focus too much on what’s to come, they’ve really leaned on what was lost in the last film, and in this latest teaser, they focus on it almost exclusively.

The teaser opens with the dusting of the logo, and shows the killing of half the universe, including the death of all the heroes in Wakanda, New York City, and all over the galaxy. Played over the horrifying clips from Avengers: Infinity War are audio clips from Endgame, which we’ve heard in previous trailers, about how horribly the Avengers failed at protecting all living things.

But that’s not all. We also got a brand-new TV spot that gives us a good look at the new “team suits” our heroes will be wearing.

Below is the official synopsis for Avengers: Endgame:

“After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War (2018), the universe is in ruins due to the efforts of the Mad Titan, Thanos. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers must assemble once more in order to undo Thanos’ actions and restore order to the universe once and for all, no matter what consequences may be in store.”
