Avengers: Infinity War – Godzilla-Inspired Fan Trailer Puts Thanos Front-And-Center

The internet is full of crossover and fan edits. Want an opening that pretends Game of Thrones was a TV show from the 1980s? You can find it. What about virtually any movie ever set to the style of the iconic Inception trailer? You can find that. However, there is one YouTuber named CarpenterSound who, to me, stands above many others out there.

Their latest creation is a take on the Godzilla: King of the Monsters trailer, which premiered at Hall H during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Full disclosure, the Godzilla trailer was my favorite to come out of Comic-Con, so I’m already a bit biased on how amazing this new cut is from the YouTuber.

In the video, we are treated to a brand-new trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, and it’s certainly a different take from all the other trailers for the movie. In this one, Thanos — the film’s villain — is treated more like the protagonist of the story, with his main goal being to bring balance to the universe.

This is especially fitting since the filmmakers have maintained that, technically speaking, Thanos IS the protagonist of the film, with its entire structure being built around his own personal journey to obtain the Infinity Stones. As someone who was resistant to the idea of Thanos actually being the main character, this trailer pretty much won me over to that perspective.

What do you think of this new take? Let us know down below!
