News flash: Avengers: Infinity War is going to have a hell of a lot of characters in it. I know. Shocker. Given the fact that a non-Avengers movie (Captain America: Civil War) had roughly a dozen or so superheroes going head-to-head on screen, it was a given that a film based on the epic Infinity Gauntlet story would find a way to outdo it.
Of course, pretty much every superhero introduced up to this point, including the Earth-dwellers like Iron Man (though not including the TV supers like The Defenders), and aliens like Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Needless to say, it’s going to be a packed house, and I don’t even want to try and guess how they plan on tackling this from a narrative standpoint. That being said, it’s going to be pure movie magic to see everyone standing side by side on screen for the first time, but if you’re having trouble visualizing just how many people will be around, the Russo Brothers — who are directing the film — have your back.

Damn. That’s a whole lot of people. As mentioned above, it was clear from the get-go that this was going to be a film of epic proportions. However, it’s one thing to SAY that, and an entirely different thing to actually get a visual idea of what it means.
This truly is an unprecedented move in filmmaking. Like how The Avengers was the first movie to have a true culmination of several films to form a universe, Avengers: Infinity War looks to take that idea to the next level. These may be films, but more and more it’s feeling like each entry in the MCU is an entry in a high-budget TV show. The film is still 11 months away, but we can’t wait to see the first footage that gets released.
Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018.
