Not too long ago, the first trailer hit for next year’s superhero team-up flick, Avengers: Infinity War. With it being the penultimate Avengers film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far, it serves as something of culmination. Needless to say, there were a whole lot of Avengers in that first trailer.

But not everyone had a moment in that trailer. One such character was Nebula, portrayed by actress Karen Gillan. While out promoting her latest flick, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, she was asked by The Radio Times if she was disappointed by her absence in the trailer.

Here’s what she said:

“I wasn’t really disappointed because also it sort of makes sense…it makes sense! How do I say this without giving anything away? It makes sense – I feel like Nebula might be in future trailers.”

When we last saw Nebula, she had reconciled with Gamora and gone off on her own personal journey, away from the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy. As such, there’s no telling what she’s off doing at that point in the story.

Those who read the comic are understandably wondering where Nebula will end up in this story, but the MCU has veered so off from the comics that it’s impossible to tell what direction they plan on going in.

It’s also worth noting that it’s almost impossible to show off all the heroes in a single trailer. With all that’s going on in the plot, you don’t necessarily want to force it too much at this stage in the game. And Nebula wasn’t alone, as the likes of Hawkeye and Ant-Man were also missing.
