Avengers: Secret Wars being split into two parts has a ‘very high chance’ and we won’t see Doctor Doom’s face in Avengers: Doomsday. That’s the two rumors covered in today’s Barside Buzz. Let’s start with more on Avengers: Secret Wars being split in two. As you are probably aware, this rumor began a couple weeks ago and we covered it in the related article below. However, a new source has now come out to throw her hat into the ring as it were.

During a recent Q&A on TCC, there was this comment from site owner Lizzie Hill.

“The current rumor running around is that Secret Wars is going to be split into two parts. I’d like to pile on to that rumor and say that there’s a very high chance that they could. And the reason why is that over the last few days, the team here at The Cosmic Circus has been monitoring updates for developments on multiple Marvel projects, and have discovered that Avengers: Secret Wars, which was originally approved to start in the coming months, has now ground into what is known as a “conditional start” phase.”

“Essentially it means that Marvel cannot legally film anything for Secret Wars until a new verification of the contract is achieved. In the few instances that this has happened, it’s because there has been a massive shift from what the production was originally looking like. For example, like one film now being split into two parts.”

Not a smoking gun at all, but food for thought definitely. There was a comment from John Campea on a recent show of his addressing this rumor (prior to TCC). Campea said that if Secret Wars is two parts, then it was always meant to be two parts and they just never announced it. That’s not him confirming it is by the way.

However, that would not cause the issues Lizzie is describing in the quotes above. It’ll be interesting therefore to see how this rumor plays out. Some insider are going to either be really popular, or really unpopular once the truth comes out.

Avengers: Doomsday

Another rumor is that fans concerns RDJ would never have the Doctor Doom mask on could be very wide of the mar. Insider MTTSH claims,

“None of the heroes ever get to see that Doom looks like Tony in Avengers: Doomsday.”

Many fans were worried Doom would simply become evil Tony Stark, but if his similarity to Stark isn’t revealed till Secret Wars? they may have to walk that back. That being said, not all rumors are true, so take this one with a pinch of salt as always.
