One gem of a film that’s on the horizon for us is Bad Times at the El Royale. The film comes courtesy of The Cabin in the Woods director Drew Goddard, and it features an ensemble cast that includes Jeff Bridges, Cynthia Erivo, Dakota Johnson, Jon Hamm, Cailee Spaeny, Lewis Pullman, Nick Offerman and Chris Hemsworth.

“It started from a place of love for ensemble movies,” Goddard revealed in a new featurette. “Everyone has a complicated backstory. Nobody is who they appear. It made it very easy to attract the cast I wanted for the film, and it was fun to be able to say, “No, no, we’re going to do something different.”

Goddard then goes on to celebrate the ritual of going to a theater, painting a picture of a setting you can’t replicate in your living room, so it’s clear how he wants you to see his movie. Anyways, check out the featurette above!

Over the course of one fateful night, everyone will have a last shot at redemption… before everything goes to hell.
