You may have seen there was a Bane in Peacemaker rumor that started up this week. However that report has been debunked by James Gunn. The report came from Movie Scope, who have also said recently that Charles Xavier was in Multiverse of Madness. We still need to see if that one checks out. However, according to Gunn, Bane is not in Peacemaker at all. Though, the director does not rule out using Bane in the future.

Sorry to say your second exclusive scoop is incorrect. I don't know what your first scoop was, but hopefully you're batting 500, which isn't bad.

As you can see Grace Randolph was insistent Bane was in one scene only and had one line. However Gunn, as he has done with Randolph before, made sure he set this straight. Randolph has claimed she got some early scripts, so perhaps there was a Bane appearance planned at one point, but it never made it to filming? Either way, that still means the information was wrong, even if it was perhaps right some time ago. Who knows?

I guess only Gunn himself could confirm that story either way. Fact remains, Bane isn’t in Peacemaker, though who knows if the character could turn up in Season 2? I’ll wait for Season 1 before we start debating where Season 2 could go though.  The moral of this story? Always gotta be careful with any James Gunn related leaks. I think if I got one I’d consider just asking Gunn directly before I published it. Not that I have any information currently, but you never know what the future holds.
