Late last week, we were given a new trailer for the upcoming film, Batman Ninja. But the flick isn’t your standard animated Batman fare. This one hails from the Land of the Rising sun, and is lovingly adapted in a CG, anime form.
Now, IGN has released another trailer for the upcoming flick, and while this one doesn’t really delve too much into the plot, it does show off a lot more intriguing footage than its predecessor. Check it out above.
Batman Ninja is rendered in CG form (not unlike the film Expelled From Paradise and the anime series Ajin: Demi-Human), and despite my own personal distaste for this trend in anime, it does look like it has a lot going for it. The character designs look solid (I’m digging both the looks of Joker and Harley Quinn here), and while the way they move is pretty stiff, its stylized nature helps keep it all afloat.
In Batman Ninja, a series of circumstances land Batman in the warring period in Japan. While there, he learns that the Joker has somehow become the most powerful man in the country, and is leveraging his power to alter the country’s history.
