BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE seems to be carrying a hell of a lot of baggage with it. While Zack Snyder’s MAN OF STEEL definitely had its fans, there are some (like our resident hater, Mario) who hated the interpretation of the character, and are quite bummed it’s that iteration of Superman who we’ll be moving forward with in the DC Extended Universe.
In a way, it seems like many are waiting for the film to fail. Just take a look at many of the comments in our BATMAN v SUPERMAN-related articles, and it’s easy to see that Snyder is disliked by many. That being said, things are moving forward as planned with the DCEU, and whether they like it or not, BvS is hitting theaters this week. Yesterday marked the premiere of the film, and following the premiere, there were many who flocked to Twitter to give their initial impressions of the film.
On the whole, the reactions seem incredibly positive! Check some of them out below!
So lucky to have been at the #BVSPremiere last night and I still can’t believe how amazing it was. Not good. Not great. Amazing. #BvS

Now, of course, many would argue that “of course, people who went to the premiere would say they love it,” and that’s true. Going to an event like a premiere definitely would sway people to enjoy a film more than they would normally, but it all the same, this positive response still bodes well.
We’ll have to wait a couple more days to see what the critics think, but if the reactions are any indication, we may be in for an auspicious start for the DC Extended Universe!
